DnD Session 1: What Lies Below? Taking The Plunge! The Elevator Strikes Back?!?!

Welcome To Obcassio, the City of Adventurers, and the Bastion of the Children of the Gods. Sitting atop the mysterious and deadly Dungeon in the midst of a vast and grassy plain, the 3000-foot tower which marks the center of this sparkling city, Warvitae, stands defiantly of that which lay just below it.
The vast grassy fields cleaved through by the River of Heroes and with clear visibility to the surrounding mountain ranges. Nearly 1 Million lives within its walls, many of whom are those who seek their hopes and dreams within the dark and mysterious depths below in… The Dungeon.
A dark and dreary pit, where life and death hang upon a thin balance of determination, skill, and power. Monstrous beings lie below, seeking to slaughter all those who enter, growing stronger and stronger as one plunges deeper into the mysterious depths. It is those Children of the Gods, the Adventurers who stand like the tower above, defiant of the Dungeon’s attempts to devour them whole that brandish their blades and plunge into the depths.
These brave adventurers, each superhuman in their own rights, wield martial prowess, magical spells, and all their cunning to strike at the beast below. Glory, Power, Might, Fame, Hopes, Dreams, Ideas, all but a few waves in the endless sea of goals these brave and mighty warriors seek to attain...
And now... on this world... and in this gorgeous city… A new set of fates begin to intertwine…
