Barnaby Joyce 'roughly on board' with net-zero

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Barnaby Joyce seems to be roughly on board with what Prime Minister Scott Morrison is seeking to achieve in relation to net-zero.
Mr Morrison is due to leave for Glasgow for the COP26 Conference, and he is putting a net-zero plan to Cabinet today ahead of a Nationals party room meeting Sunday afternoon.
“The PM needs a climate deal in a hurry, it seems; the Nationals do not. And that's the danger here for the PM,” Mr Clennell said.
“There are said to still be several scenarios on the table in terms of a target just two weeks out.
“It would be a target, as I understand it, of net-zero emissions by 2050, but Energy Minister Angus Taylor has told MPs it would not be a medium-term target for 2030 or 2035 but merely a projection.”
